The Southeastern Futurity

The Southeastern Futurity is a prize program for weanlings, yearlings, and two-year old horses.   Nominators of the mares and stallions can win as well when the entries win 1st or 2nd place!   Purses are made up of entry fees paid by the participants.  The futurity classes encourage the breeding and showing of the American Saddlebred horses and add value to horse sales by increasing their potential earnings.  The value of sires and dams may also be enhanced by the success of their progeny shown in these futurity classes.

There are 3 divisions each year: Weanling In-Hand, Yearling In-Hand, and Two-year old Fine Harness.  The divisions are open to the offspring of mares and stallions nominated to the Southeastern Futurity.    All Futurity payments must be made to maintain eligibility.  Foals may show as weanlings, yearlings, or two-year olds, but are not required to do so in order to stay in the Futurity.  This futurity ends after the tw0-year old year.  All classes are conducted under the rules of the U.S. Equestrian Federation.
